1-Step Self Defense

One

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters with simultaneous left arm knife hand block and right arm middle punch.

Two

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters with right arm knife hand block.
  4. Defender drops right hand to support closed left hand fist at belt.
  5. Defender takes half-step with left foot, keeping back to attacker...
  6. ...simultaneous reinforced middle elbow strike to attacker's midsection with left arm.
  7. Defender performs back fist strike to the face with left hand.

Three

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters by stepping forward with right leg, across attackers front leg...
  4. ...simultaneous left arm knife hand block and throat strike.
  5. Defender grabs attacker's right arm with left hand.
  6. Defender performs leg sweep of attacker's front leg while holding attacker's arm.
  7. Once the attacker is on the ground, defender continues to hold attacker's arm...
  8. ...simultaneous lean back, punch to attacker's face while dropping knee to ground.

Four

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters by stepping forward with right leg, across attackers front leg...
  4. ...simultaneous right arm knife hand block.
  5. Defender reaches down between his/her legs with two hands to grab attacker's front leg.
  6. Defender pulls attackers front leg up and forces him/her to fall back.
  7. While holding attacker's foot, defender performs left leg dies kick to the attacker's chest.

Five

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters by stepping forward with left foot into front stance...
  4. ...simultaneous left hand single knife hand block.
  5. Defender performs double punch to attacker's ribs starting with the right hand.
  6. Defender performs left hand upper sweeping block in a counter clockwise motion.
  7. Defender grabs attacker's wrist with left hand.
  8. Defender pulls attacker's arm in while executing right forearm elbow to the face.

Six

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters by stepping back with right leg into fighting stance.
  4. Defender performs outside to inside crescent kick with right leg to block punch.
  5. Without putting his/her foot down, defender performs right leg side kick to the upper chest.

Seven

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters by stepping back with right leg into fighting stance.
  4. Defender performs outside to inside crescent kick with right leg to block punch...
  5. ...set kicking leg down in front.
  6. Defender performs left leg back kick.

Eight

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters with high x-block with right hand underneath.
  4. Defender grabs attacker's wrist with right hand.
  5. Defender rotates attacker's arm in a clockwise motion into an arm bar.
  6. Defender pushes on opponents shoulder with left hand to complete the arm bar...
    ...forcing attacker to bend over.
  7. Defender performs right foot front snap kick to opponents face.

Nine

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters with left hand knife hand block.
  4. Defender grabs attacker's wrist and rotates attacker's arm counter-clockwise.
  5. Defender steps across attacker with left leg while twisting the opponents wrist above his/her head.
  6. Defender turns 180 degrees and kneels down forcing attacker to the ground .
  7. Defender pulls opponents wrist out breaking the arm for completion.

Ten

  1. Attacker steps back into front stance with right foot with simultaneous left arm down block.
  2. Attacker steps forward with right leg into front stance with simultaneous right arm middle punch.
  3. Defender counters by stepping back with right leg into fighting stance.
  4. Defender performs outside to inside crescent kick with right leg to block punch...
  5. ...set kicking leg down in front.
  6. Defender performs left spin heel kick.
