Martial Arts Etiquette

• Never face the instructors while tying your belt and fixing your uniform.

• Never call the Instructor by first name. Always use their title plus last name.

• Always bow when entering and leaving the classroom.

• When answering the instructors use “Yes Sir”’, “No Sir” and “Yes Ma’am”, “No Ma’am”

• Always bow to the instructor upon addressing them and when departing from them.

• Never use slang to the instructors such as’ “What’s Up”? The proper question is, “How are you sir”?

• Students should always treat their Martial Arts School as their own by helping in every way they can to support their school.

• Fellow students must always work together and show respect to each other and not criticize each other.

• The student should always be faithful by defending their school, the instructors and fellow students.
